Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled at Bowmore in 1997 and matured exclusively in Hogshead 156030 for 25 years.

Only 134 70cl bottles worldwide. Bottled at a cask strength of 47.7%VOL.

Each bottle is individually numbered and this expression is bottled without chill filtration or colourants.

Tasting Notes

Nose: A rich, warm smoke greets you and welcomes you in. Sea spray quickly invades your nostrils as the smoke guides you through sweet notes, past bonfires and into what promises to be a gooey centre.

Palate: Juicy melons appear but only for a moment before a rich, medicinal peat takes over. The smoke holds this dram together and kicks off a roaring bonfire in your mouth that slowly dies out as the dram goes on. Vanillin from the cask offers a continued subtle sweetness throughout.

Finish: The smoke dissipates into a slightly dry, sooty note. Bonfire embers and slightly damp notes transport you right to the No.1 Vault as the sea spray thickens and leaves you with salted caramel drops.
