Our Creative Director Stevie James came across a podcast and magazine called The Distillers Journal one afternoon and decided to call their Editor - Velo Mitrovich to see if he would be interested in speaking with us about independent bottlers.

After speaking to Velo for nearly half an hour he was very excited to set up a meeting and interview with Jake about The Whisky Baron bottlings and the future of whisky.

Jake and Stevie headed up to London a couple of weeks later and met Velo at The Dram House In London and introduced Velo to a few of our whiskies. He had some great nosing notes as he cannot drink alcohol anymore but could tell they had been carefully selected. We didn’t want to get into conversation too much as we wanted to save it for the podcast and magazine article, so Velo set up his travel kit and we got stuck right in!
